mlsdesignsI'm so proud of my progress today, so I thought I should share :) (I've never been good about posting regularly have I?!)
I started this morning with Mummy's new spencer all cut out, sitting on my sewing table. By lunch time the body was sewn together, and the sleeves were lined, and the collar ready to attach. So, after lunch we did a fitting of the new dress to check for length and closures, and the sleeveless spencer to check the modifications I did were going to work - it has a V neck and I lowered the bottom edge because her other spencers are too high and show her dress waistlines. It fit perfectly! I slipped the sleeves on too, to check the length, they're nicely long, so when they have a wrist band they should hit her knuckles perfectly.
By the time we went to dance practice at 7pm, her spencer was finished except buttons and button holes and wristbands :D Ok, I did all the construction on the machine (I'm too mean to hand sew her things, I save that for my stuff!) but still, that's crazy progress considering how lazy I've been lately! I wonder if I can keep it up tomorrow?!
