When I played Wordle yesterday morning they had a notification that you can make your own. Most of my students play Wordle, so today I made one to go with their assignment--an advice column based on the article we read. It waa fun!

Almost an almost three day weekend. We have work Monday, but not Tuesday. I wonder how many kids will be there?

The air conditioning at school was fixed. Yesterday afternoon it started working again. It got up to 81 with the heat running yesterday. It's still in the 80s out. It was a pleasant 68 in my classroom today.

I have no idea how I worked in a room without a working air conditioner for so long. It was 79 in there most days.

I was optimistic, but wow! California hasn't closed yet, but I'm excited for it. What a relief. I mean, even having elections feels so big!

I napped after work. Mondays are Mondays no matter when they start!

And the heat was blasting. 81 in my room. It wax in the 80s out. There's a work order in. Sigh.

Getting up early is awful, but it's less awful when it's not dark, so hopefully I'll be a little less tired tomorrow?

It's Saturday. The three day weekend gets an extra hour. Thinking of positive things!

Napping hobby achieved. This was the first real, fall asleep nap I've had in ages. Lately I've just been dozing...

I think I figured out why my backwards brain thought far was near and near was far. Far was on the top of the menu and near at the bottom. So it looked like far was nearer the car in front and words meant nothing apparently...

Good morning, afternoon, and evening!

We're doing some database and other light server maintenance this weekend (upgrading the version of MySQL we use in particular, but also probably doing some CDN work.)

I expect all of this to be pretty invisible except for some small "couple of minute" blips as we switch between machines, but there's a chance you will notice something untoward. I'll keep an eye on comments as per usual.
