roly was a bit down again when i got home from work, but mummy said he'd had a very good day. i was exhausted, and had a splitting headache so went to bed for a nap, but later, after his lunch, he was a bit more perky, and now he's just trotted in to the sitting room bringing his stuffed fish to show me, quite his usual old self again :) it's very much swings and roundabouts at the moment, but he seems to be subdued a lot less than before - he's better more than he's not. not very clear description i know, but i think he's on the mend!!
we're off to the vet tomorrow, i'll let you know if there are any answers.
on other news i did a talk to the WI on thursday, i guess most of you have seen calender girls? that's about the WI - the women's institute. it was great, most of the ladies i know really well, coz we live in a tiny village, and my best friend and her mum came specially, as did aunty jac, who came up from berkshire, 2 and a half hours just to stay the night and see my talk! i don't think anyone took any photos on my camera, mummy acted as my dresser, but aunty jac took some on hers, so i should get some at some point, i had all of my costumes on display - the sort of 1660s brown dress i made for last years ball, the anglaise, the 18th century man's suit i made for clare, an 1818 riding habit i made at college, the plaid 1860s, cream, gold and brown bustle from college, and the 1890s cycling outfit again from college. i undressed the manequins, and wore and stripped off the anglaise to start with, then put on and took off the 1860s. they were so interested in everything, the way things were made, the history of the things etc, it was really gratifying, and it's always great to have another excuse to wear things again :) i did the talk for them last year too, but then i only had the bustle and the cycling outfit, i think this time i took TOO much!
