progress of sorts
Nov. 15th, 2008 12:14 ami've actually got something on meg that looks like a coat! the lining is sewn into the coat, the pockets are made, pocket flaps pinned on and sleeves waiting to have the lining sewn in, tomorrow i will have a 'wearable' garment, and who knows, maybe a finished one? (yeah right! we know how that's going to turn out don't we!?!)
i have decided not to have functioning buttons, just decorative, with probably hooks underneath. but what worries me is that the last time i made a fairly loose fitting garment with hooks and bars they kept coming undone, there wasn't enough strain. any suggestions? my paletot is cotton velvet, and quilted right up to the edge, so i don't think there's any way i can do button holes.
any way, off to bed so i get up in the morning, so much still to do!
