A good few days
Oct. 20th, 2009 03:10 pmAs the subject line would imply, I've had a good few days lately :) I've got my sewing machine back, the bear I'm making for My cousin's daughter is nearly done, dancing on Sunday was great fun, we had an extra long session to prepare for the Halloween Ball, and yesterday I spent with my best friend and one of our best friends from school that we haven't seen in a couple of years, we went shopping, had a gorgeous meal at an amazing local Thai place, and then got into our PJs and spent the evening watching stand-up on YouTube :) I got home this morning to find my new net book waiting for me, so I'm posting this from my new toy! It's so hard getting used to the teeny tiny keyboard!! But I love it, it's small and cute and works like a charm!
I'm even feeling quite calm about my op, a friend suggested some homoeopathic remedies, one of which is good for stage fright, something I've always suffered from, and even if it is only psychological, who cares!? It's calmed me down so that I'm worried in a rational manner, not the crazy insane way I normally would! I have got a rather rotten sore throat though, I think it's probably just nerves and feeling run down, but I hope it goes in time for me to have the op, they say if you're ill to let them know as soon as possible so they can re-schedule :( But I feel much better today than I did yesterday though, so hopefully I'll be better tomorrow, cross your fingers for me!
I think one thing that's made me feel so good lately though is that I decided to give Chris another go. We met up on Sunday before dancing and had a chat, and decided to try again, taking things nice a slow and seeing what happens. We had such a wonderful afternoon, and it just felt so completely right, and I've just had a really silly grin on my face ever since! So hopefully things will work out better this time, I think the fact I had a little flutter in my tummy when I saw him means it has a good chance.
