Time to get wet!

My under-suit for my '20s bathing suit is finished, all it needs is buttons on the shoulders, and I'm not planning to do them until I've shower tested it! I'm not expecting anything to go wrong, because it's woven, not knitted like everyone else's, but just in case it does stretch I don't want to have to move buttons to keep me decent ;)



The over dress is done, but it still needs decoration, so no photos yet. It's having appliquéd apples and pears made of wool felt, so I will definitely be taking it off to swim!! and I need a cap too :)

This part will NOT be getting wet :)

I've finished the rest of my bathing suit :) It has wool felt apples and pears appliquéd onto the same black silk noil, and is based on one in a fashion plate on page 132 of Women's Wear of the 1920s.



Needless to say I will not be wearing it in the sea ;)
