first peek at the bathing suit!

i finally have the bathing suit at a presentable stage :) meg has no undies on so she looks a bit deflated!
the sleeves and leg cuffs need bands, and it needs a belt, and the braid and buttons need putting on, but other than that... :)

the colour came up all right, considering i had to use flash

i put some tape around to be the belt, it looks like a sack without the waist being cinched!

i think it'll make me look like i have very long legs :)

i don't know if wooden buttons would be used, but they're so cool, i had to have them!

it looks like i might be on track to make a new dress in time for friday too!!! i really need to, my plaid dress is a bit too small in the waist for comfort. i will have to enlarge the waist on my petticoat any way, but i don't think i can enlarge the dress. it doesn't really suit me anyway, so i might re-make it for mummy, i think the style would be better suited to an older lady :)
i have the rest of the week off, and next week is half term week, so a nice long holiday!! YAY!! but i will be working extra super hard next term :( 60 odd kids to costume, 42 of them are animals!!
