slow progress on winter clothes

my paletot is kind of at a stand still at the moment, i don't really feel like working on it. the lining is quilted and sewn together, the outer is pinned together, and i kind of have a sleeve pattern, but i'm not totally sure how i want to finish the fronts, and what trim i want, so i'm not doing anything to it :)
mummy's hood though, is finished, it looks a bit odd, but i think it's nice, i might shorten the curtain/cape a bit in back though. mummy's still at work and i'm off to bed, so no photos today, soon though i hope.
i can't work on my dress cause the ribbon still isn't here - i can't do the sleeves without the trim, and don't really want to start it if i can't finish it, instead i will make a couple of red flannel petticoats (just like the railway children!) and force myself to work hard on the paletot. if necesary, i can wear my cotton dress i guess, as long as i have lots of warm layers to go with it :)
and i have work in the morning :( oh, but i did find some boots, that pass for the 1860s, and heated insoles to keep my toes warm!!

yup, they have a battery pack you strap to your leg :) i think i need the next size up boots though, the insoles are a bit thicker than i thought they'd be.
