I wish I was :(

I wish I could be a bit more productive, today I only managed about 5 minutes of sewing. I did make my sister's cakes, and we had a nice afternoon with friends eating cake and drinking tea and chatting, but that meant no sewing time, and then I decided to make cannelloni for diner, which meant cooking 2 sauces and the filling, it WAS yummy, but still, no sewing time :( I'm so far behind it's not true. I'm just feeling very blue this evening.
Oh, and the vet said Emmy has a mild upper respiratory tract infection, probably not kennel cough, but he can't rule it out. She's had a shot of antibiotics and has tablets to take. He said she should be better in a few days, but she's a really sad little girl at the moment, I just want to snuggle with her, but she gets crotchety after a while and gets into her bed, but she does keep coming back for more cuddles <3 I hope she gets better soon, and that it's not going to turn out to be the dreaded kennel cough. I don't think I could face loosing another dog.
OK, I think I better go to bed, I'm wallowing in misery at the moment, maybe a good night's sleep will help?

If it makes you feel better, kennel cough isn't really that bad. It is just very contagious, that's why they worry about it so much. Both Allie and Simon had it when they were puppies. They blew some meds up their nose and they were better in a couple of days. :)

i hope your sweet puppy will be okay! i remember how scared i was when my little boy cocker was sick... sleep tight! you'll gain a calmer perspective on everything in the morning. :]

Emmy will be fine--she's in good hands. It's so hard to see them sick though!

Thank you! I love Cockers too (as you can tell!!) I'm just paranoid now though, since my little boy died at 9 months from Familial Nephropathy (horrific kidney disease) and the little puppy we got for a brother for Emmy managed to drown himself after I'd had him for 3 weeks. My track record is so bad, I'm convinced I won't be able to keep Emmy either :)
