A silly little cap!

I finished Mummy's cap today, it's very silly :) But then, it was meant to be, so that's OK!

Once the cap was done I was starting to fix the too big bib on my striped linen regency drop front (that I think I will wear to get to the dance on Sunday so I don't crease my silk sitting in the car for an hour) when some of my dancing friends came for tea, bringing with them my new 18thC shoes!! So once they'd gone, and after I'd finished prancing round the house like a loon! I put my hoops and petticoat on so that Clare could measure the length, then I ripped the panels for the skirt. I decided to use cream silk for the top of the back panel to save fabric, and I'm very glad I did because I only have about 90" left to make the sleeve frills and all the trimming :'( I'm very worried it won't be enough, so now I'm thinking about which parts of the trim I want to do I could leave off or replace...
