iconography!

got me a new icon, clare did it for me, and now you can all be bored of this one for the next year, till i get a new one after next year's ball!
had a nice relaxing day today, tried the trick of not having lie ins at the weekend to make monday's less scary, and i actually wanted to get up this morning! took roly for a lovely long walk, made us both feel better, then the bride and i went shopping, didn't find anything good, just a boring shot navy and black taffeta, we want to find something embroidered, so i think i'll go shopping in london soon and see what i can see, if i can get swatches from places that will post the fabric to us, that'd be great.
the ball gown is still simmering away in the back ground, and meg being all dressed up in the sitting room is very motivational!

i'd love to see you, can't promise to be able to make you anything very soon, but i can always take measurements for when i'm not so busy.

oo, you mustn't call her claire, no 'I' she's clare! and i'm sure we would love to stay with you soon! i don't actually know if i'll get to london this half term, because the puppy is having his bits chopped off on monday, and i'm busy thursday and friday.

Lol - it seems that both of you are always telling everyone what not to call each other! Just the other day she was telling me to make sure to call you Megan and not Meg ;) One of my closest friends is a Claire (with that spelling), so I automatically just do it for everyone of that name without thinking about it. It's most naughty, I know - I must really endeavor not to assume. I do sometimes wish that there was just one spelling for a name though!
