Finally the yr 12 play is over so I get a chance to post some photos for you all! I'm putting them







And since I'm incapable of acting like a lady ALL night ;)



A couple of shots before the dancing started, with most of our group:





I was sooo pleased with my pouf! The rat was only the culmination of a couple of years of saving my hair combings each day ;)



I think this one needs to be an icon ...



Poor Mummy got so tired by the time we got back home, she couldn't even manage to get upstairs in one go!



I also have a couple of picks of my new floral polonaise from the 'costumed ceilidh' we went to a couple of weeks ago.






The ball was wonderful! I think it may be the best event we do all year! I'm really sad to post the photos though, because this is the only way my US buddies will get to see the dress, it was going to make up part of my CosCon or CosCol wardrobe if I'd been able to swing the trip :( But there's no chance I'll make a trip to the US this year, but maybe next year if I save really hard (no pretty satin 18thC shoes for me!)

After the ball a group of us went to a local National Trust place, Dyrham Park, in a mixture of mostly Regency with a few in 18thC. I have more photos to share, but will put them in another post, I have to upload them first ;)

Your plaid dress is fabulous, as is your pouf!! Ahh the memories of finding that fabric for you... good times! :> I love the floral polonaise too - it might be my favorite thing in your wardrobe actually! The colors, the fit, the trimmings - it's really perfect!

My thoughts exactly! The shoes may be pretty, but not as pretty as all my costuming buddies ;)

I love how you centred the lines of the plaid for the trims! It gives a really cool effect. Both of your gowns look gorgeous!

Thank you! I tried to get all the strips to look good, but totally forgot about that when piecing in the long strips on the gown skirt! If you look closely, you'll notice the pattern doesn't match up on the bottom third of each strip!
