Sorry for the long wait! and I know I should really have done the wedding first, but I need to photograph the likeness we had taken before the ball first, a post on the wedding just wouldn't be complete without it - you'll see why soon ;)
Anyway, so much happened at the festival that I think I'm going to split it up into several posts, to save your friend's feeds, and part one can be found
So, we left the wedding in pretty good time and managed to get to our apartment in Beau Street in the early afternoon (unfortunately not quite early enough to make it to the open day at the Georgian open air pool, which is the most amazing thing, check it out: http://www.clevelandpools.org.uk/ ) once we'd unloaded the car, had a bit of lunch and changed into the correct attire, we headed out to our first engagement, a musical soiree at number 18 The Circus:

The weather was wonderfully clement for the time of year, so we all trooped out to the garden for some songs:

What a wonderfully Byronic profile he has there, I didn't notice before!

Then the party decided to take a wander along Brock Street to the Crescent Lawn for a little moonlit dancing:

Then it was back to the apartment to rest for an hour before party number two, a Gentlemen's Evening Party given by the three bachelors on the floor above. I'm afraid I don't have many pictures from that occasion, and judging from the ones that have surfaced, it's probably a good idea ;)
Naughty readings from Harris' List:

Notice the fruits of the gentlemen's labours of the previous afternoon - a drawing class of ladies' Attitudes...
A 'best calf' competition:

'Poor Pussy':

And much gambling...

(it was really really hot and I'd had rather too much negus, please don't judge!)
I think it's a good thing I decided to split up the posts! Considering the first day we arrived in town we went to two parties and didn't get to bed till 2am , I think you can imagine how much there is to tell :)
