the world hates me!

yesterday at the pub clare convinced me that i really want to make a dress to mach her outfit for the masqued ball, which means using her left over (gorgeous!!) embroidered silk. so instead of making a biscuit coloured saque back i'll make a blue robe a l'anglaise! so i was itching to get started today, but then tracy our next door neighbour joined us and said her small son really wanted to dress up as a cat for halloween, so i stupidly said 'ok, i'll make him an outfit in a day, no i don't have anything i'd rather do!!' i had made the balaclava and one ear when the sewing machine decided to break down NOOOOOOOO!!!!! i love my machine, it was my mother's 21st birthday presesnt and she's now 62! it got me through 3 years at college, sewing everyday, and now it breaks when i REALLY need it, blake has a party tomorrow and i'm desperate to get on with my dress!
meg is in my room, all dresed up in a half finished shift and pair of stays looking all reproachful! my fingers are itching!
on another note, the weather has finally decided it's autumn, yesterday when i was waiting at the bus stop for blake i was just wearing a jumper, and today i was freezing in a padded jacket!
