very slow progress
Feb. 10th, 2007 08:48 pmlast night i made the toile for the kyoto dress, and i'm now making sleeves then i can try it on and take photos. only trouble is i've run out of calico to make the other toiles from, but if it fits perfectly, as i expect it will since i'm using a duct tape dress form, then i'll just go ahead and make the other toiles from my lining fabric, then i can take more photos and ask more opinions, but i think i'm going to just end up making three bodices!
i haven't been able to do nearly as much as i wanted to, because we are having some rotten windows replaced, and the rooms they are in happen to be the most cluttered and untidy in the house! we started the first one today, it was my dad's office and we have been putting off clearing it out for so long, and for the last few months it's been turned into a store room, so we have got so much to get rid of, but we've achieved so much already, i think it'll go ok. the other really full room we have to deal with is going to be the new kitchen, and it has all of the units in it waiting to be arranged and installed, but it's also being used as a store room! so lots more things to be removed, this time it will be furniture removal!
oh well, back to the grindstone! and i promise pictures soon :)
