sewing has been happening
May. 27th, 2008 11:02 pmi am a bad LJer :( i have been meaning to post for days, and haven't because i'm a bad bad girl.
i have been sewing though, so it's not all bad! i've been slogging away at my CC stuffs!
i will be wearing mostly 18th century, only one set of undies to worry about this way! so i have my blue anglaise, which i can wear with my bum roll or pocket hoops. i have nearly finished a printed cotton jacket using the jacket in costume close up, with a green linen skirt. i have patterned a pet en l'air, not too sure if i like it yet, have to do another fitting first, but it will be made from a pale green silk taffeta with the white muslin skirt from the blue anglaise. then![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
my_stitching gave me a beautiful pink and gold stripe something that i thought might go with my left over pink silk from my 1860s ball gown (she also gave me the green linen, and lots of other lovely things!!)IT DOES!! absolutely perfectly, so i have patterned a zone front anglaise, and will fit it tomorrow. i'm hoping to be able to make it for the gala, then i should have 3 day things and a gala dress. and if i don't like the pet' i've decided not to worry, and i will just wear my undies one day! i did think about wearing the pink ball gown for the gala, but then i would have to take all the undies, and i want to avoid that if i can, plus i think the zone will be lovely! i took pics of the fabrics on meg, and will try and post them tomorrow, along with pics of my fittings, and hopefully a finished except eyelets jacket ( i will do eyelets and things while on holiday in scotland in the summer!)
well, off to bed, my half term is nearly half way through, i must sew faster!!!!
