You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their lives, and all of a sudden you think, "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Name: megan louise stephens. my dad's welsh, but that's not why i'm called megan, they just liked the name, i don't! and for those of you over the pond, it's not pronounced to rhyme with hay!! i would have like to be louisa, or elouise, but not louise. and i feel like it's such a common middle name.
Age: 25, this last may the 10th.
Location: barrow upon soar, leicestershire, midlands, UK.
Occupation: seconary school drama technician. sounds fun? totally isn't. i'm really a glorified assistant most of the time, and it has got to be one of the most stressful things! i'll go weeks if not months, trying to find things to do, then i'll be doing 6 or 7 day weeks, and 12 or 13 hour days. they do not pay me enough for this!!
Partner: no :( i have had one boyfriend when i was at school, and not even so much as a date since.
Kids: no :( i really want children, i'm one of those women the feminists hate, i want to have children and stay at home to look after them and my husband. of course, it'd help if my husband is disgustingly rich :p
Siblings: one, an older sister, clare. she's 26, will be 27 in september, a couple of weeks before she goes back to university.
Pets: emmy, my cocker spaniel puppy. she's my baby, my best love, i sometimes get all teary-eyed when thinking about her! my first puppy was a 'rescue' who came at exactly the right moment. my father had just died and i needed someone who would love me and need me more than anything else on earth, and he did! but he died from a horrible kidney disease when he was 9 months old. so last july emmy came to live with me, and she filled his shoes and is my reason for getting up in the mornings. however hard life has been in the past knowing that emmy relies on me for everything, not just food and things, but hugs and kisses and reasurance, has been what keeps me going and makes me try harder.
List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life: finishing off my CC wardrobe!! making mine and my mother's victorian festival wardrobes! and trying to recover from an operation to remove 2 moles from my upper lip - wow does it hurt today!!
What did you go to school for?: to get an education?! i have a BA in costume for the screen and stage from the arts institute in bornemouth. before i went i thought i wanted to make the costumes worn in the wonderful BBC period dramas, but then we all went on work experience!! so now i work in a school, using what i learnt, but getting paid a pittance. instead, i use my degree for the most fabulous hobby there is :)
Parents: my mother, mummy, is the best mother i could want. she has looked after us all our lives, even when we don't deserve it, she's my best friend. daddy died 2 years ago next sunday.
Grandparents: my grandparents are now all dead. my maternal grandfather left when mummy was 6, my paternal grandfather died when i was 10. my paternal grandmother lived in south africa for most of my life, moving to wales for the last 10 or so years of her life. she was not a nice person. my maternal grandmother, granny, died last april, she was a huge part of my life, even though we lived quite far away. my cousins and i used to fight over who's turn it was to have her to stay for christmas! my favourite memories of her are when we used to go to stay with her for a week or so in the summer hollidays. sometimes we went on our own, sometimes clare and i went together. she went to pottery classes, so we went with her, she lived near hampton court, so we went there, or we fed the ducks in bushey park, we went to london to go to the museums and we had exciting cerial that we were never allowed at home! whenever i smell demerara sugar i remember her, her pantry had a bowl of demerara sugar on the shelf at nose height, and it always reminds me of granny!
Who are some of your closest friends?: mummy! my best friend has been my friend since we were both 11!
What's in rotation: i guess from other replies this means on an ipod, i don't have one! if i listen to anything it's usually radio 4 or an audio book :)
