Home from Llandod

Well, we got back yesterday after an exhausting 9 days of dress up! It was loads of fun, but rather stressful at times, luckily the weather wasn't too bad, most of the time! (We did picnic in the rain one day, but what do you expect of a British summer, especially in Wales!!)
I took lots of photos, but haven't had a chance to upload any yet, so hopefully I'll get to that tomorrow. I spent this morning putting the clothes away, and doing half the mountain of laundry, so now I need to rustle up the energy to get on with the sewing needed for the Jane Austen festival! We leave next Saturday for a week's holiday in Kent on the way, and I'm busy tomorrow and have a day's work next week, so we'll see how I go. My MUST list includes outerwear for the three of us and a hat for Clare, after that it's a 'would like to have' list! I'm going to start with Clare's over robe a la Marianne Dashwood, and we'll see how I go! One of the things on my list is my blue wool spencer trimmed in the same silk as my dress, which I want to sew by hand, so I need to get that ready to work on while we're on holiday, but I still haven't quite decided how it's going to look yet!!!!
