Busy busy!
Aug. 19th, 2010 11:14 pmClare got home yesterday, so this morning we had a mass fitting session, I'd already checked the half made corset last night and finished it this morning. I fitted three bodices and 2 skirts, and a hat and bonnet, all mix and match with her existing stuff, so she has lots of options. I fitted the sleeve of the nealry finished bodice, and now that's done except for hems, the ball bodice only needs a hem and the shirt waist now has a patterned sleeve and the centre fronts marked for fastenings. I took pics, and meant to post them today, but I've been too busy... also, the House of Elliot DVDs came today, so I've been rather distracted!!! I'm super pleased with the fit I managed to get with her away!
I need things to keep me occupied while in wales, so I plan to take the makings of a couple of hand work projects, a silk dress apron, new decorated hairnets and thread and crochet hooks for a miser's purse. I wish I was more organised and had some Regency sewing to do, since we're going to the tale end of the Jane Austen festival, and a ball and day trip in October, oh well, I'm sure there's time :)
