well, this is what i've been doing with my weekend!

Emmy, short for Ermingarde!
she did a little striptease for you (well, really these are photos taken as i was dressing her, her clothes are sewn on, since she's so small!)

a pretty spotted dress, nice and short to show off her socks, she will have shoes soon, and a hat.

little lacy petticoat, wish i'd had an outfit like this when i was little :)

she's named after the little girl in 'a little princess', not sara the heroine, but her slightly simple little friend, who's hair is exactly like this! she's my first attempt at a needle sculpted doll, and a painted doll, perhaps i should have tried one or the other, but not both for the first time! her mouth is a little strange, but i can do better next time :)

i've been trying to break myself into costume sewing, but i don't hink it's working very well, but at least it's the summer holidays soonish, and i should be able to get lots done then.
on the doggy front, we found and fell in love with a lovely whippet cross greyhound yesterday, we won't know till thursday if we can have her, her original owners have 7 days to change their minds and get her back from the rescue centre, so keep your fingers crossed for us :)

She is adorable. You are very creative. What do you do with all of your things? Do you sell them at fairs and such?

thank you :) i'm not VERY creative, i had a book and she's almost completely a straight copy, but the next one i'll change things, jointed legs for a start. i make bears to sell at local fairs, and jewellery, and if i can perfect a pattern for these little dolls i'll see if they sell to.
