at last a photo post!!

i've been uploading all the photos from my camera all evening :) so here you are, some pics of mummy's last fitting (the photos of the previous fitting aren't really decent :)

here she is in the dining room, in my petticoat, with the puppy in shot too :)


i'm quite pleased with the shape her corset gives her, the gussets could be a bit smaller i think, but better too big than too small :p


obligatory puddle of skirts shot, but on a sofa to make allowances for mummy's more advanced years !!


and she insisted on 'wearing' her new fabric :) its a silk taffeta we got in new york last year, it isn't nearly as shiny in real life, one of the few instances when a fabric is better in photographs than in real life!




so now all i need to do is actually pull my finger out and SEW!!!! ( i have been sewing all weekend, but i don't think doll's clothes reeealy count, mummy can't really wear a doll's dress to the ball now can she :)

that's the trouble, the fabric is so lovely i just want to get on and make her dress. this means i don't want to finish her crinoline and petticoat, so can't make her dress, which is all i want to do, see, i'm stuck!!
