i've been working!

and here's the proof!

so far all i have is a mockup :) i was very very silly when i made the last ball gown and used my mockup as the lining, i thought i would save myself some time i suppose, silly idiot!!
any way, here it is and it's dreadfully dull!


so, to make up for the dullness, i got clare to photograph me in my new day bodice! this is the dress i based it on:

i'm so sad i didn't get to wear it last weekend :( but i can wear it in the summer.


you have to forgive the not too good photos, i also have my jeans on underneath :)


oh, and emmy wanted to play dress up too :p

as i took my jumper off i dropped it on her head, and got a naughty and wicked idea!!

she didn't seem too bothered by it, till she tried to walk off and her back legs were sliding on the rest of the jumper :)

so, i'm now going to go cut the bodice out in the silk, AND in lining, and keep my mockup for next time :p

BTW - silk will now be in the post on Tuesday - just been informed today (Sunday) that due to some issue in work, I have to work from home tomorrow (Monday). Who am I to ignore a request like that????? So, Tuesday the silk will be sent instead.

Did you see the second dress down on the other page? I am in LOVE with the bodice that has the dark/pink on the bodice. It is stunning. Oh, and coincidentally, the gown below that one fits in with what we were talking about today... the green dress has black ribbons, but is clearly not half mourning.

I also love the day bodice, as I told you earlier. However, it is easier to see how the back lays when it is being worn. It is very stylish looking. Now I am going to have to copycat. :p

thank you! i like the back too, the fringe is upholstery fringe, so lots of people have said i look like a lampshade!!!!
