Saf's bonnet

Well, I got very little done today, I've finished one undersleeve (except the button) we did some gardening, and we ate our first ever home grown potatoes for supper!! And had dance practice. So very little progress to report, but I do have photos to share!




She wanted it to be all cream so it would go with everything, I was worried it might look at bit bridal, but she was happy with it, so I am :)

Here's hoping I might get a bit more done tomorrow, probably not though because I've got the girls from our dance group tomorrow, so I doubt I'll be able to do much sewing, except helping Saf hem her dress for the demo on Saturday.

Thank you! I wouldn't normally dream of using polly satin ribbon on a bonnet, but I didn't see the need for really expensive ribbons on a girl's bonnet, and it actually works for this one like you said!

Its so beautifull. May i ask if the ribbon is silk? It looks like real silk to me, where do you buy your silk satin ribbon?
I have only found a place in the USA and they wont send to Denmark.

Thank you! But it's not actually silk, it's cheap polyester from a local shop!! It doesn't look anything like as good in real life :) But I have got some lovely silk satin ribbon from www.farmhousefabrics.com, they were quite happy to send it to me in the UK.
