Some photos of what I've been up to

As promised, finally! I had to take the photos with the lights on though, the weather here has been HORRID!! And I still cannot manage to take a photo in the mirror to save my life :) So any way, enough excuses, the photos are
So first off, the re-styled hood!

You really can't see the colours very well, but the lining matches the darker blue in the ribbon, the fur is black and the wool is a dark blue.

I love the bows these hoods have in back, so cute :) Needless to say I couldn't manage to take a good shot of my back in the mirror, so unfortunately this is all I can show you for now.
This photo of the sleeves I took yesterday:

They're now sewn up with piping in the seams, but boy did they take ages :)

The bodice of the red challis is pinned together, the sleeves are done, the piping for neck, waist and armholes made, and the skirt panels ripped. In theory I'll get the bodice put together tomorrow, and should get the sleeves set in too, but in practice, not so likely! It' a friend's birthday and we're going out for a meal, and I want to bake for her, and Mummy and I have to go shopping in the morning, so no idea how much sewing time I'll have :(

The hood and the sleeves look great! I particularly like the trimming on the sleeves. Very robin-red-breast!

Thank you! I love this colour combination, red trimmed with a little brown seems to remind you of a robin's colouring without making you think I LOOK like a robin :D

Thank you! Yes it is lovely and warm! the silk and wool have a layer of wool wadding in between, so snuggly! The only trouble is it's a bit hard to hear properly!!
