I just looked her up and it turns out she's moved to Aberdeenshire! Her website is http://www.canestore.co.uk/, but I'd drop her an email, as the website isn't particularly useful unfortunately. I have bought same cane off her in the past for the same sort of project, but I've lost it in the depths of the shed. The only cane work I've done was a bit of woven basketry around a cane frame, but I suppose the techniques are probably similar. I just soaked the cane overnight, then pegged it onto a mould (think I used a bit of wood) to dry.
