bad news

roly has been admitted to hospital, he has kidney disease.
he couldn't get up this morning and was screaming in agony, he spent the trip to the vet on my lap, not moving, just being hugged (the first proper puppy cuddles i've had this week) i had to carry him into the vets. they've done more urine tests and bloods, and they've x-rayed his kidneys and he's on a drip. they're going to wait to see if the drip works, flushing the toxins out of his system, if it does they can start medicating it, and hopefully with a special diet and medication he'll be ok, but his kidneys could have failed, so... he may not get better.
if his bloods are better on saturday we can have him home on sunday.

thank you, i know, it's the hardest decision you have to make as a pet owner, and he's not only my baby but my rock, my crutch, i can see myself falling apart without him, but i do know what i have to do if he doesn't get better.

oh, thank you, you needn't have worried, you didn't at all, this is the problem with the time difference :)
we all know when we get a pet you are totally responsible for their happiness, this doesn't just mean giving them lots of cuddles and enough to eat, but making the hardest decisions in life as well.
