granny had some silhouettes on her wall in the old flat, and they disappeared during the move, but they were safe in a box all the time! there are only 5 of them, and the 6th frame was used by my great grandmother for a photo :( she did however label the rest, they are the many sisters of james hunt, his father and aunt, this is the eldest hunt girl, and shows the style of frame

this is all so cool, i have a photograph of the mother and son, and silhouettes of the rest of the family! what is very exciting is that we also have, we think, the wedding spoon from the marriage of james hunt to katherine wainright, and another spoon from an even earlier wainright marriage.

So gorgeous. It's probably just the dress and hair style, but Sophie's silohuette reminds me slightly of Anne Bronte, with the oldest reminding me a tad of Emily. Emily would be much more disheveled, however . . . ;)

What I wouldn't give to be able to see the "real" dresses of Ellie and Sophie Hunt. The embroidery on the dresses look gorgeous. And the hair styles are really cool. I realize these could just be artists renditions. But he must have seen them somewhere to be able to create them. What a treasure you have.

i know! it looks like the girls are wearing the same dress, maybe, as the youngest girls they had matching 'best dresses', or the artist might have just made it up :)
i think sophia is the prettiest, but i like the hairstyle of the oldest girl best.
