so, here we go
first up, the first top i made with the serger mummy bought me for my birthday. it's a kimono style top, and i took a photo of it with the skirt i made, coz i was going to wear them both for granny's funeral, but decided i needed a cardigan so wore the skirt with plain pale pink.

(granny would have loved it, she hated it when people were all in black at a funeral, she said we were celebrating someone's life, not mourning.)it looks a bit crumpled coz i had to pull them out of the laundry for the photo.
next up is the second atempt at the kimono style, much better, but this time it ended up a bit too big over the bust, so i have to wear a camisole underneath for work :)

then i made this one

it's exactly the same as a top i have already, so i can't take any credit for it, except putting the 2 fabrics together!
then this one

it didn't work out very well, the fabric is really lycra-y, VERY clinging and tight.
but this one is my favourite,

the bit i like best is the tiny cuffs/ bands round the sleeves. since i can't do hems on my serger (as i found out on the pink kimono) everything is finished with a band, and these are my favourite :)
and a better pic of amy, more realistic setting, and i'm so pleased with how real she looks, especially her little legs :)

so, that's it for these mammoth posts, i promise i won't leave it so long till i fish out my camera next time!

Wonderful clothes! I really love the kimono tops. Did you use a pattern for them? So cute!

nope, i made it up! (sounds like i'm showing off!) i'm gonna do a tutorial probably for craftster, if i do i'll post it here, but in a nutshell:
use a T that fits for the bottom half. for the top half, measure over your shoulder from your bra strap in back to your bra strap in front (over you bust), and measure from your elbow to your elbow over your shoulders (or however long you want it) then.... hmm now it gets too tricky to explain without a pic, so i'll go and do it now!
