the bathing suit

clare took some more pics of my bathing suit today as well, i had to shorten the legs A LOT!! i took out about 10" and joined the 2 pieces together with a band of cream wool to match the bodice.



a huuuuge pic heavy post is coming next, all about my new dress :)

You're right, those legs are huge! :O But it's cute. If I made it, I'd make the legs narrower, just because I'm not so brave as you.

just think how huge they were before i took out some of the length!! if it didn't mean redoing the leg cuffs (which took me 2 hours to do, yes, the kind of job that is normally the work of a few minutes!!) i would so make them smaller, they are much more full than they need to be :)

I love the bathing costumes, but I don't see myself every sewing one without a place to wear it, you know? Too bad we all couldn't meet down in Brighton and wear them! Of course, we would need a horse and wagon bathing machine to bring us down to the water. ;-)

that's exactly how i felt, so it was great to have a reason to make one :)
that would be so much fun!! i'd never dare to do it on my own, but with others i might not be to scared!!

yes you are a bad bad girl! but you don't need to convince me! i just need to save up a bit before i take the plunge :)
