PUPPY!!!!!

well. guess what we did today? i bet you never will, ever :p
we went and got my puppy!!
isn't she cute?

yes i do mean 'she'!! there was a little girl there, older than hobson and his brother and sisters, but still very tiny, she didn't have a home and i'd wanted a girl really, that's why hobson was so named, he was the only one left, so hobson's choice :p her name is emmeline, emmy for short, and she is absolutley gorgeous! she's so tired, poor poppet, that she's in bed fast asleep, which is why i have time to post this, she spent all afternoon sitting on my lap or trying to sit on my feet if i was standing up, i will be very busy for the next few days :)



she's 16 weeks old, but she really doesn't look it, she so small and wee!

i'm off to bed now, i can foresee an early start for me! i'll just check on her as i go out i think ;)

Absolutely adorable! And it sounds like she's really attached to you, which is nice. (Our dog doesn't give a hoot about me, but loves my dad and brother. :p) What a lovely new best friend!

thank you! she's so tiny now, she looks like an 11 week old but she's actually 16 weeks, i don't think she'll grow much, so she'll be a baby always, like lola :)

Nothing wrong with always being a baby. Lola gets special treatment--everything she wants. Well, she'd get whatever she wanted no matter what. She just happens to want more than the others, the little beggar :)

aww! i remember when i first got my jojo baby. he was so tiny and so friendly... though a bit scared. but he gave my hubby and me tons of kisses... just like he does to this day. he is a wet kisser. hahaha.

thank you, i hope we get to keep her for a good long time too, i don't know how i could cope if it happened again.
she does do very good puppy kisses, although she isn't very good at keeping to the nose yet, my ears are now very clean :p

Oh she is darling! I love the picture of her on your mother's lap. She reminds me of my Simon in that picture because that is the way he always lounges in the lap. I wish you all much happiness together. :)

thank you, i hope she stays a happy lap dog, that's the bit i love best, i think a sleeping puppy on your lap is even cuter than a sleeping kitten :D she's quite scared at the moment, but i think she'll be much happier soon, it's all so new.

That is so funny! I have never heard anyone mention the corn chip smell. My dog Allie smelled like corn chips as a puppy and still does at nearly 6 years old. :) All over, not just the paws.

My Parent's 15 year old black Lab still has that "Frito feet" corn chip smell (but just on her paws). I want a dog sooo badly. But my big red tabby cat disagrees with the idea.

isn't she? she's even more gorgeous in the flesh, of course :p her ears smush up really well, and if you push her forehead forward over her eyes she can't see and looks so cute and funny :)
her paws don't smell (except when she's stepped in something...unsavoury!!!) but her puppy breath is lovely!

thank you! she is even more irresistible in the flesh! and the fur on the top of her head is sooooo unbelievably soft! maybe i can fit her in my suitcase next year :p
