mummy's fitting

think i'll make two posts of my work yesterday and today, less photos to be uploaded at a time :)

her petti is finally finished, it even has buttons and button holes now :)



first up i fitted her ball gown:



when she's being queen vic for the may ball (my birthday ball as i keep calling it!) she'll have a sash and crown :)

it needs tweaking a bit, the dress it was made for was much shorter in the waist, but i think it'll be allright.
next up, her day dress, a basqued bodice made over from my purple plaid, using the original sleeves, left over fabric to make a new bodice, and re doing the skirt so it has the right kind of waist band, and isn't lined!

the only shots i have of the side and back are with the sleeve and trim pinned on too, but you can get an idea of the fit



i'll do another post with what i did today, more photos i'm afraid :) i don't know, for ages i make hardly any posts at all, then i make far too many at once :)

we have fun :) she's such a good mother, she likes the dancing we do each week, and i think she likes the idea of dressing up for the balls, but all the extra weight makes her tired, she's so good to do it for me, i love my mummy :D
