I'm sorry to say it's rather a downer of a movie and not nearly as historically accurate as I'd like. Luckily it's costume eye-candy thru and thru. ;)

yes, i'm glad i'd read about her already, i think i'd have been a bit confused! and less sympathetic, the characters read very differently on the page.
i'm going to watch it again when my mum's home, so i think that will be my 'oooh, pretty, must make one of those' moment :)
