exactly what it says on the tin :)

i was hoping i would have enough braid to trim the stomacher with a serpentine ruche like the trim round the neck and fronts, but i only have one and a half inches left!!!!!! i think it looks very pretty like this though, so i'm not worried :)

i'm waiting for some cream silk taffeta that [livejournal.com profile] my_stitching ordered for me to arrive, for the skirt, it will hopefully be the exact same cream as the flowers, the swatch i saw at her house looked perfect. and i want to get some embroidered organdy http://webstore.quiltropolis.net/stores_app/Browse_Item_Details.asp?Shopper_id=3541671045153541&Store_id=198&page_id=23&Item_ID=12220
to make an apron, do you think it looks good? i saw some lovely designs on baltazor fabrics http://www.baltazor.com , but misread it, it was organza, totally not what i want :) so i was really pleased to see this. of course, the ideal solution would be to get [livejournal.com profile] tailordrews to embroider me an apron, but somehow i don't think that's going to happen :p

so, now i need to get to work on my pink striped zone front anglaise, once that's done i need to make another shift and then, in theory my CC sewing is done, but i want to make at least one cap, and a cream silk hat trimmed to match the pet, and a grey silk velvet mini tricorne to go with the blue polonaise. hmm, i might leave those for a bit to work on our clothes for the victorian festival. i really should make a list of what we need, but i'm scared!!

Oh, very pretty! Pink striped zone front anglaise? Sounds awesome to me! I have a pink striped 18c frock in my future too (though it's been bumped out a couple of years due to WAY too many projects in the queue). Great minds, right? :)

did you see my 'mockup' of the zone front? i'm using the pink silk from my new ball gown with some narrow stripe pink and gold something for the 'over dress'. the bodice is all cut out now, i just have to sew it together (ha ha, 'just'!!)
pink is great, of course we're both going to make pink dresses :p

So pretty! I love the color and the trim. Looking forward to seeing the whole thing :)

And I think that'd make a lovely apron. And I adore Farmhouse Fabrics. Most of my current project comes from them--they have very, very nice things.

thank you! i'm so happy you get to see it in the flesh, it's going to be such a great weekend :D
good, i think i might just buy it then :) only trouble is, i can never just buy one thing, i have to make the most of shipping, so what else do i buy :p

That's really pretty, one of my favorite colors too. I was just looking at JP Ryan's pattern for the pet en lair today, and thought it a pretty jacket.

thank you! the green is a much prettier colour in person :) it's more blue, a minty green rather than the sage green that my screen shows.
it is a lovely style, i've always liked it, but when i made the mockup i didn't like the effect that much, i persevered though, and now, i'm in love again!!

Absolutely lovely! The colours look great. I really like the combination of green and cream. And an apron would be a fantastic accessory.

thank you!
i love the idea of an apron being purely decoration, you could never do anything messy in one :) i also want to make a pinner apron in cotton voile, which will at least be a bit functional!

It looks gorgeous. I can't wait to see it tomorrow. :)

By the way, I would call the color more of a kiwi than a mint. :p

Wow - it's lovely! I adore the color. I may just have to steal that at CC, you might want to watch it closely when you aren't wearing it! *hee hee*

it is darling! the trim feels like it is enough, even though you had hoped to add more.

thank you :) the trim round the front is very full, when i'd finished it i thought, 'hmm, maybe it doesn't really need any more' i'm glad you think so too.

Beautiful. I adore green gowns.

Do you have any of the taffeta left? If so, could you make a series of "bows" across the front of the stomacher?

thank you!
i do have some left, that i plan to make a matching doll's dress from :p but there's probably enough to do both, although, i do want to trim my hat with the green, so maybe not... i'll have to think about that!

Oh that is so beautiful! I just love that shade of green. You know, we both made green jackets and will have pink zone fronts. We will have matching outfits at CC. :)
