Wow. It is all so amazing and beautiful! Well done!

Can I ask? Where do you get the saris for your ball gowns? I especially love your cream and gold one. :)

Thank you!!
I got my gold spot sari from the local sari shop 10minutes down the road! I live in Leicestershire, which has a very large Indian population, in Leicester itself there is an entire street of nothing but sari shops, everything from £6,000 wedding saris to £5 printed polyester everyday saris. I'm spoilt for choice!!!

Hmmm... well I'm coming to England in Feb with my cousin to help her move (lucky me!). She's moving to Huntingdon, which from the map looks not too far from Leicester, do you think it would be worth a trip? Seriously, I am totally coveting your ballgown!!

If you do decide it's worth the trip, you can be sure of a tour guide (and a bed for the night if you need it!!) in me :) The little local shop can be hit and miss (although it did give me my gorgeous new ball gown!) but there is the street full of Sari shops in Leicester! If you're planning a trip down to London at all, there will be some areas full of sari shops there as well, and there is the Goldhawk Road where I do my fabric buying when I'm in London.
A sari is usually 5yds long, with 1yd making up the pelu (highly decorated, or contrasting, end that hangs over the shoulder when a sari is worn), and either a made up blouse or a seperate length for the blouse, if it's an embroidered sari there will be 2 little bits of embroidery for the sleeves on the blouse piece as well.
The ones I've bought have varried wildly in price. Clare's red and gold and Mummy's black with the gold brocade border both cost £15 I think, Mummy's black with gold spangles and Clare's cream with gold spangles both cost £35 (they were in a sale) and my gold spot with the beads and spangles was the most expensive at £65.
