dentists and CADD
Jan. 25th, 2008 10:15 pmi went to the dentist a week and a half ago, and she said i needed some fillings :( i am a nervous wreck when i comes to the dentist, and although all she was doing was a check-up i nearly passed out getting on to the chair. she obviously knew i was scared, even though english is very definitely not her first language, so she was very good yesterday when i went back for the start of the treatment. when giving me the injections, she was so gentle, it didn't really hurt (last time it was a man and the injection was absolutely awful) after all the drilling, which wasn't too bad, she explained she was putting in a temporary filling because she hadn't finished the ROOT CANAL TREATMENT!!!! she said she had to because it was so decayed and was hurting, i don't know if she didn't tell me at the check-up because she didn't know or because she knew i would be even more of a nervous wreck if i had that hanging over me! but it's been hurting more and more all day, till i was in so much agony when i got home form cooking with the little ones that all i could do was curl up on the sofa with the puppy, tears streaming down my face, having more and more painkillers put into my mouth by my long suffering mummy! one of the painkillers is very good at making you sleepy ( i had one before the dentist yesterday to try and keep me calm, i was so calm by the end of the treatment that i was falling asleep!)so mummy tucked me up and read me a story :)
either the painkillers worked or it's getting better, but i was able to get up a couple of hours ago, and have been thinking non stop about another project i want to add to my huuue list of costumes i want to make this spring :) i've been wanting to make some childrens costumes for ages, specifically some victorian clothes, girls and boys, rich and poor. the school i help with cooking at are studying the victorians this term, and i would love to make some clothes to show them, so they can try them on :) only trouble is, that means i need to make them before easter! i also need to make mummy's ball gown AND UNDIES by april (there is a ball in the same town that does a huge victorian festival in the summer, so it should be good, lots of people from my dance group are going) i guess i need to get a move on, lots and lots to do :)
